I have a very easy formula : First you have to buy a calorie chart ot calorie book from the market.

Then look at what you are eating during an average 24 hr period. To maintain weight, with no loss or gain, for the average person, is 2000 calories a day, within 24 hrs.

If you are eating 3000 calories a day, then cut back, using your calorie book, and only eat what will add up to 2000 calories.

YALL PRAY FOR ME! I NEED TO LOSE IOO LBS! THE ONLY PROBLEM I EVER HAD WITH WEIGHT WAS I WAS TOO THIN. THEN CAME DIABETIES AND ACTOSE. I TOLD MY DOC. OVER AND OVER AGAIN IT WAS THE MED. THAT MADE ME GAIN SO MUCH. I FINALLY FOUND OUT A COMMON SIDE EFFECT OF ACTOSE IS WEIGHT GAIN AND CAN CAUSE HEART CONGESTION! WELL I TOOK MYSELF OFF ACTOSE AND STARTING TAKING CINAMON! MY WIFE FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS. NOW MY SUGER LEVELS ARE GOOD AND I HAVE LOST OVER 30 LBS.,BUT HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO! EXERCISE IS HARD CAUSE MY LEGS ARE IN BAD SHAPE,SO I EXERCISE MOSTLY THE UPPER PART OF MY BODY. IF I CAN LOSE MORE WEIGHT THEN MAYBE MY LEG TROUBLES WILL BE LESS!ALL MY DOC. HAD TO SAY WAS THAT WAS GOOD! I DON'T KNOW WHY SHE COULD NOT HAVE TRIED SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS CINNAMON TO BEGIN WITH!I EAT LITTLE AS I HAVE ALWAYS DONE,BUT ON ACTOS EVERY TIME I GOT ON THE SCALES I HAD GAINED MORE. I GOT REALLY SCARED WHEN I GOT UP INTO THE 290S! I AM SHORT! THANK YALL AND LETS PRAY FOR EACH OTHER! NEVER KNEW WEIGHT WAS SO HARD TO GET RID OF! MAN NOW I DO! JAMIE

i am going to try to eat sensibly for the next 2 weeks to see how much weight i can lose; i have to lose some (eventually about 65 lb.) because of my high cholesterol and triglycerides.  the doctor told me to cut down on carbs and fats...and i told him that all i'll have left is fruit and vegetables!!  i found a daily eating menu in a magazine that is sensible.  tonight i tried the supper meal, and it was good; i don't feel like i want to eat all the food in the house.  i had been watching my carbs and fats this past week and already had lost 7 lb.; i also in prayer told God that i can't do this; i know i have failed so many times.  i gave my problem over to Him to give me the strength to resist what i shouldn't eat.  i plan to do it this time, because God is leading and i am following instead of i am leading and God is just a spectator because that is where I had Him in the past; praise the Lord for His love, help, forgiveness, kindness, strength, understanding, and will that we succeed...
